There is no salvation aside from the cross
I hear/read about people’s testimony and most of the time, this is what I hear:
“I repented of my sin”
“I asked Jesus into my heart”
“I made Jesus Lord of my life”
“I surrendered my life to Jesus”
“I am born again”
“I believe in Jesus”
“I asked Jesus to save me”
These in of themselves is NOT the gospel that saves a person today. Many many so called christians have no idea what is the mystery revealved to Paul, which was kept secret since the world began. Its still a secret to many christians today sorrowfully.
Let me be crystal clear: If you don’t have the cross, or understand the cross, if you don’t trust in His finished work, then YOU ARE NOT SAVED AT ALL !
14 And if Christ be not risen, then [is] our preaching vain, and your faith [is] also vain.
I dont say this to make you feel bad, I say this so its perfectly clear. You can ask Jesus into your heart all you want, but if you dont understand the cross and trust in His grace for you, Jesus will not enter into your heart no matter how much you ask.
Salvation is on His terms. Understand that salvation today is found only in Pauls epistles. You are not Israel. There is a major difference between the Jesus who was a minister of the circumcision, and the Jesus preached according to the revelation of the mystery. Which Jesus are you listening to? Ill give you a hint: the one in Matthew Mark Luke and John would not have even talked to you. [MATTHEW 10:5 , MATTHEW 15:26]
Jesus does love you and commanded Paul to be the apostle to the gentiles. Paul has the gospel for us gentiles today. Jesus comissioned Paul and was designed to be our pattern today.
1 Moreover, brethren, I declare unto you the gospel which I preached unto you, which also ye have received, and wherein ye stand;
2 By which also ye are saved, if ye keep in memory what I preached unto you, unless ye have believed in vain.
3 For I delivered unto you first of all that which I also received, how that Christ died for our sins according to the scriptures;
4 And that he was buried, and that he rose again the third day according to the scriptures:
